School Scholarship Donation

We recently started a private christian school under the umbrella of our church.

We had someone donate a scholarship to the school.

How would you post a scholarship donation?

Would you post it under the school or as a donation to the church and put it in a restricted fund account?

Would the donor be able to have it on their tithing statement?
