Position Absolved, When Does Housing Allowance End

I was a full time minister for 2 and a half years and then left my position in August of 2016.

I took a housing allowance during that whole time. Are the expenses during my time of employment the only expenses I can claim for the allowance? Or does it go through to the end of the month? Or year?
