LOVE OFFERING FOR PASTOR

WE HAVE A PASTOR THAT IS ON SS DISABILITY HE ONLY PASTORS ON SUNDAY AND CAN NOT GO VISITING DOOR TO DOOR DUE TO HIS DISABILITY - CAN WE PAY HIM A LOVE OFFERING EACH SUNDAY FOR HIS SERVICES.

Answer

You can pay him a love offering. However, it would be taxable income as it a payment for services. I do not know off hand how much you can make and it not hinder your disability.
