Local church giving money to parishioners to invest

A local church in mt are gave parishoners thousands of dollars to invest for the next several weeks. Then they give it back, and interest collected goes to charity. I think it's a horrible decision scripturally and business wise. What do you think?

They need to seek the advice of a good tax attorney that knows churches!!!

I would worry about the tax implications for the people accepting that money for the church!

Personally, I would want NO part of that =( The accounting alone will be a nightmare!
