Housing Allowance Put in box 1 of W-2

My treasurer included my housing allowance as part of the salary in Box 1 of my W-2. How can I deduct my housing allowance when filing my taxes?

Housing Allowance--W-2 correction. . .

Please inform your treasurer that you need a corrected W-2 form. The housing allowance should be subtracted as an adjustment from Box 1. It can be listed in Box 14 as an optional entry. This means that a correction will likely be needed on forms 941 as well.
